Eco Evolution Launches Ugly Sweater Competition on Shop Small Business Saturday, Nov. 27
South Norwalk Store Promotes Shopping Locally and Sustainably this Holiday Season

NORWALK, CT (November 17, 2021) – ‘Tis the Season. Eco Evolution will kick off its month-long Ugly Sweater competition for dogs on Shop Small, Small Business Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021. Dog owners are encouraged to dress up their furry best friends in their favorite festive outfits and stop by the shop, where good boys and girls will get a free all-natural dog treat from Nada Dog Treats, a Long Island-based small business and sponsor of the promotion.
Eco Evolution will capture a photo of each participating dog and their human to share on its Instagram channel. Each Instagram post will count as one entry to win a raffle prize. Dog owners and their pups are eligible for multiple raffle entries throughout the month if they don different sweaters and outfits. The prize drawing will be streamed live on Instagram at an Ugly Sweater party at the store on Thursday, Dec. 23, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
“We wanted to offer a fun way to bring our awesome community together this holiday season to support shopping locally and sustainably,” said Brad Kerner, the owner of Eco Evolution, who is known as ‘The Eco Dude’.”
Sustainability rules at Eco Evolution,” said Kerner. “That’s why we are asking folks to borrow or upcycle a sweater, or to decorate their own. We can’t wait to see all the clever and creative ways that dog owners and their furry pals showcase their holiday spirit.”
Eco Evolution is an eco-friendly marketplace and artisan co-op located at 135 Washington Street in SONO. The shop features a wide variety of eco-friendly products for pets, kids, adults and the home. It also offers local artisan goods and upcycled vintage ware.
There are eco-friendly products for every holiday occasion, from Hanukkah to Christmas, and Kwanza to New Year’s Eve. Eco Evolution launched its Holiday Gift Guide today featuring nine holiday bundles for $50 and under, including an Eco Joy Coloring Kit, a Kids’ Kitchen Kit; and an Eco Shaving Kit.
The store is open Tues. 11 - 6; Wed. – Fri.: 11:00 a.m.-9:30 p.m,; Sat.: 10:30 a.m.- 10:30 p.m., and Sun.: 11:00 a.m.-5pm.
