Lauren Murphy (Beach Shack Art) is a teacher and artist living in South Norwalk, Connecticut. During one particularly cloudy day in June, she was eager for summer to begin, and looking forward to the endless joy that summer brings. She didn’t know what her end product would be, but hours later, she had painted the first work in her Beach Shack series. When painting, she draws inspiration from her own coastal community and from her travels to places like Cape Cod and the Bahamas. She tries to capture “that summer feeling” in every piece she creates.
